Narendra Modi was born on 17 September 1950 to Mrs. Heeraben Modi and Mr. Damodardas Mulchand Modi,a grocer in Vadnagar. He helped his father selling tea at Vadnagar Railway Station and his brother at Vadnagar Bus Terminal. In 1967, He completed his schooling from Vadnagar.He was married to Jashodaben Chimanlal at the age of 18. At that time Jashodaben was 13 years old. And it was a child marriage case. After some time they estranged. In 1971, He joined RSS at the time of India Pakistan War. He received RSS training in Nagpur and got charge of ABVP Gujrat. He joined BJP in 1985 and in 1988 he became secretary of BJP in Gujrat. As secretary BJP won 1995 state election. In 2001 when Keshubhai Patel's health was getting down, He was appointed Chief Minister of Gujrat for first time. In his first term there happened Gujrat riots on 27 feb 2002. A train was burnt near Godhra. Opposition asked for his resignation but he resisted. After that problem too he again won the state election in 2002, winning 127 out of 182 seats. Then in third term 122 seats out of 182 for term 2007-2012. He got famous for his Gujrat Development Model. He did lot of development in Gujrat. Then in 2012 he got 115 seats and won the state election for fourth consecutive term.

On 31 March 2013 he was appointed to BJP Parliamentary board. On June 2013, he was elected as chairman of the BJP's Central Election Commitee for 2014 election. In September 2013, he was declared BJP's PM candidate. Modi is the prime minister who contested from two seats in 2014 election and won from both the seats Vadodara and Varanasi. 2014 General election was a hilarious win for BJP. NDA got a 343 count out of total seats. On 26 May 2014, Narendra Modi (NaMo) was sworn as the 15th Prime Minister of India by Mr. Pranab Mukherji (President of India).
